| 内容記述 | In this article, the author explores how teaching experiences and context have influenced his approach to teaching second language writing. The paper provides a reflective account of the author’s changing contexts of instruction and its influence on both his teaching goals and instructional approach. The first part of this paper the author provides a brief introduction to the issues of ideology in second language instruction. Next, the author provides an account of his experience as an English writing instructor in Japan, which involves multiple contexts, differing curriculum goals, and several constraints. Then, the author provides arguments regarding the three main ideological approaches to teaching L2 writing, including critical pedagogy, accomodationist pragmatic, and critical pragmatic. Finally, the author reflects upon his experiences and contexts and discusses his beliefs and approach to second language writing instruction. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 本研究は、教員の持つ教授経験や教育環境がどのように第2言語ライティング教育に影響するかについて考察を行うものである。本稿では、著者のおかれた教育環境の変化がもたらす教育目標とその理想の教育像への影響を述べる。まず、第２言語ライティング習得に関するイデオロギーについて短く紹介し、次に、様々な教育環境、異ななるカリキュラム目標、そして複数の制約の下での著者の日本でのライティング教員としての経験を述べる 。さらに、第２言語ライティングスキル習得にあたり肝要とされる３つのイデオロギー、すなわち「批判的教育学）「妥協的教育学」「批判的実用性」に関連した議論を述べる。最後に、これまでの経験と教育環境を振り返り、筆者自身の第２言語ライティング教育に対しての考えとアプローチを論じる。 | |||||
