| 内容記述 | 本稿はEFL,環境の中で英語を学ぶ学習者に,短期間の疑似イマージョンプログラムを体験させることで,学習者の英語使用に対する意識がどのような変化が見られたかについて,2007年9月関西国際大学教育学部英語教育学科1年生を対象に実施した5日間の集中英語キャンプにおける成果をまとめたものである。このキャンプ期間中は英語のみを使用言語とした。また授業は,学習者主導型のスタイルをとり,グループ(ペア)での調べ学習,発表,意見交換等を中心に行った。キャンプ実施後のインタビュー調査およびアンケート結果を分析し,学習者主導型のプログラムが学習意欲および学習態度にどのような影響をもたらしたかについて報告している。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper reports how students' motivation and attitude were affected by the experience of a short-term quasi-immersion English camp in an EFL circumstance which is held for the freshmen at the department of English Education of Kansai University of International Studies in September, 2007. Only English policy was adopted during the camp. The classes were provided in the student centered style and many group or pair work such as research, presentation and discussion were conducted. The results of the posterior interview and questionnaire were analyzed to examine the effectiveness of the quasi-emersion program on the learners' motivation and attitude to study and use English in an EFL circumstance. | |||||
