| 内容記述 | 本研究では、教員に対するアンケートから英語の発音指導の実情と教員の意識について明らかにすることを目的としている。教職に就くまでに、英語の発音指導法について、学ぶ機会を持った教員は少ないこと、教職に就いた後に十分な研修の機会が提供されていないことが確認された。また、教員が授業で用いる言語は英語も増えてはいるが、日本語が主体になっていること、英語発音の目標としては、国際的に通用すればよいという柔軟な考えを持っていることも明らかになった。しかしながら、発音指導について迷うことが多く、教職課程あるいは現職教員研修での機会提供が必要性だと確認された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This research examined the situations of English teachers and their attitudes towards pronunciation teaching.The results of questionnaires show that most teachers have not learned how to teach pronunciation before getting their jobs and that after getting jobs they have not opportunities to learn pronunciation teaching. This is one of the reasons that teachers do not teach pronunciation in their English classes. To solve this, more training should be provided for teachers and teaching pronunciation should be introduced in the curriculum of teacher’s license courses. Another result shows that most English teachers set their goals of pronunciation to their students as EIL, which is a great attitudinal change for them and also is an important factor in Japanese English classes. | |||||
