| 内容記述 | The rapid advancement of molecular biology makes state-of-the-art medical technology common in everyday life. Especially, the development of new medicine is remarkable in cancer treatment. Recently, new medicine which attacks the DNA of cancer cells has been developed. Although it is important to be familiar with cancer and its advanced treatment at an early age, school education in this field has not been well-developed yet. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has just started research meetings on cancer education, and is only now promoting this type of education. This research proposes three points of view about cancer education. First of all, we propose the necessity of cooperation between schools and outside organizations, such as local medical professional and healthcare centers. Secondly, we introduce some effective educational materials in cancer education. Lastly, we propose concrete educational contents of cancer education for late elementary grades. | |||||
