| 内容記述 | 本研究では，発音を表記する方法について，英和辞典や発音辞典，英英辞典や音声学の専門書，中学校検定教科書等を，母音を中心に，比較・分析し，どのような表記方法を用いているか明らかにした。日本・イギリス・アメリカの表記方法の差とそれによる影響について，英語音声学・英語教育・学習者の立場から考察を行った。また，表記の不統一は指導者にも学習者にも混乱を生み出す。高校までは統一表記を導入し，代表的な英音と米音等の発音については，電子辞書の音声に格納するのが望ましい。学習者に対しては教育の現場での適切な指導や，特に小学校教育における正しい音声と文字・綴りを結びつける指導が望まれる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is 1) to investigate the way of transcription of pronunciation analyzing English-Japanese dictionaries, pronunciation dictionaries, English-English dictionaries, books on English phonetics and textbooks for junior high schools in Japan, and also 2) examine the differences among them and influences to the Japanese leaners of English from an English phonetics, English language teaching and learners’ points of view. Publishers need to set “standard” transcription for primary, junior, and high school students. Teachers should teach how to read those transcription. Especially in primary school they should teach proper pronunciation using phonics, then students easily learn the spelling and pronunciation in junior and senior high schools. | |||||
