Therefore, the researchers in this study focused on Switzerland in order to examine moral education for the purpose of understanding what will be expected of Japanese pupils assuming the responsibility of Japanese society in the future. In 2018 and 2019, moral education will become a compulsory subject in primary schools and lower secondary schools in Japan.
