A survey on the skill of using scissors was conducted for 64 children (11 in 3-year old class, 32 in 4-year old class, 21 in 5-year old class) and compared with previous studies including Morishita's research etc. And I confirmed that there was no major change in the developmental stage of the scissors use skills of children. It was very meaningful that I was able to clarify that there was no change in the timing of the development of scissors skills while the infant's ability was declining.
