The players were divided into two groups: regular and non-regular members. There was a significant difference between the two groups in terms of sit-ups and standing long jump (p <.05). After three months, the post-test showed there was no significant difference between the two groups as far as sit-ups were concerned, although a significant difference was observed in the measurements of spider drills and sprint stops (P<.05). Therefore, it is suggested that a three-month short-term training program can be effective.
