This is due to the contradiction that kinship only be defined relatively, subjectively, and individually, although it should be a universal analytical concept.\nIn this paper, I will introduce the theoretical history of the last stage of kinship studies, relating to the paradigm shift that many social sciences follow.\nUntil the 1950s, kinship studies were the \"natural science of society. After the \"nature of kinship\" debate in the 1960s, kinship studies incorporated folk reproduction theory and changed into a phenomenological \"understanding science of society\". However, this made it very difficult to formulate a universal argument in kinship studies.
