看護学科の地域貢献活動に対する地域住民のニーズ調査 Needs of Community Residents for Community Contribution Activities of a Nursing Department 谷口, 由佳 西村, 美登里 今福, 恵子 松原, まなみ 遠藤, 俊⼦ 看護学科 地域貢献活動 地域住民 ニーズ調査 Purpose: This study aims to understand what residents near the university the authors belong to expect in community contribution activities of the Department of Nursing, and to examine the ways of the activities for the future. Methods: Anonymous self-rated questionnaires were distributed to 3,184 households in the university neighborhood, covering questions about the demographics, health conditions, recognition of the university and the Department of Nursing, what residents expect the university to contribute to the community, and the wishes, opinions, and requests for community contribution activities. Results: We collected 1,090 responses (34.2%), and of these 1,088 were determined to be valid (34.2%). It was found that 84.8% had expectations for the community contribution activities of the Department of Nursing, including “making the university facilities available to community residents”, “visits to the elderly living alone”, and “health consultations”. Conclusions: The results showed specific needs of community residents for possible contributions from the Department of Nursing to the community.
